Step into the creek and discover the hidden world beneath the water's surface! Join a biologist from the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) for an engaging, hands-on exploration of creek ecosystems.
Students will investigate the plants, insects, amphibians, fish, and other wildlife that call the creek home while learning how healthy waterways support life throughout our forests and communities. Using nets, observation trays, and scientific inquiry, participants will discover how biologists study aquatic habitats and what tiny creek creatures can tell us about water quality and ecosystem health.
Designed especially for homeschool families, this interactive outdoor class encourages curiosity, observation, and a love for the natural world through real-world science and exploration.
