INSTRUCTOR JEFF GOTTLIEB
Step back in time and learn one of the oldest methods of fire starting. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll discover how friction, wood, tinder, and a little patience can come together to create fire.
Participants will have the opportunity to make their own bow drill set and learn how to use it to produce a glowing ember. From there, you’ll learn how to select and prepare the right tinder, carefully nurture your ember, and coax it into a flame.
This class is all about slowing down, learning a traditional skill, and experiencing the satisfaction of creating fire using simple materials and your own two hands. Come prepared to get your hands dirty, practice your patience, and embrace the challenge!
