$68.00

INSTRUCTOR KYLA LAMANTIA FROM THREE CROWS FIBER

Discover one of the oldest textile arts and learn how loose wool becomes yarn by hand. In this beginner-friendly workshop, you'll be introduced to the timeless craft of spinning fiber using a traditional drop spindle.

Your instructor will guide you through every step of the process—from preparing fiber and drafting wool to creating a smooth, consistent yarn. As you practice the rhythm of spinning, you'll gain an appreciation for the skill and patience that generations of spinners relied upon to create clothing, blankets, and household textiles.

No prior experience is needed. This hands-on class is designed for beginners and includes all materials and instruction. By the end of the workshop, you'll understand the fundamentals of drop spindle spinning, have yarn you've spun yourself, and take home your own drop spindle to continue your spinning journey.

Whether you're interested in fiber arts, historical crafts, homesteading, weaving, knitting, or simply learning a traditional skill, this workshop offers a peaceful and rewarding introduction to the art of hand spinning.
