BIRDER MARY JO DAWSON
Join birder Mary Jo Dawson for a guided walk as we explore and look for birds during the fall migration season. October is a great time to be outdoors, with many species passing through our area on their journey south for the winter.
Our farm is located near the Atlantic Flyway, giving us the opportunity to see both resident birds and migrating visitors. Along the way, Mary Jo will help participants identify birds by sight and sound while sharing interesting facts about the species we encounter.
This walk is perfect for beginners and experienced birdwatchers alike. Bring your binoculars if you have them, wear comfortable walking shoes, and enjoy a morning of birdwatching in a beautiful natural setting.
This is a free event. Donations are not required but can be made to the Augusta-Aiken Audubon Society at https://augustaaikenaudubon.org/donate/ .
What to Bring: Binoculars (optional), comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and water.
