I've been eating wild things for thirty years. I grew up exploring the sandhill country of central South Carolina. There was a vast tract of forest across the road from my house where me and a tribe of little boys dug kaolin clay from creek banks, followed deer tracks in the sand and played war games hiding in the bracken. I began leading plant walks 19 years ago along the rivers in Columbia, SC. Since then I've had the opportunity to introduce thousands of people around SC and beyond to this way of seeing and connecting with the natural world.

KING’S MORTAR & PESTLE

Angie King is the founder of King's Mortar & Pestle, a faith-rooted herbal wellness and education company based in Beech Island. Through botanical products, wellness education, and guided consulting, she helps individuals and families pursue a more intentional, grounded approach to health and daily living.

Her journey into herbalism began through personal health challenges, including migraines, fibromyalgia, arthritis, depression, diabetes, and hypertension. What started as a search for answers became a calling to help others explore natural wellness with wisdom, compassion, and purpose. Angie encourages people to work alongside their healthcare providers while incorporating holistic practices that support everyday well-being.

As the creator of The Path to Clarity™ framework, Angie helps people navigate seasons of stress, transition, and personal growth through greater awareness, intentional habits, and sustainable wellness practices. Her approach blends education, encouragement, and herbal support in a way that is both practical and approachable.

In addition to crafting botanical extracts, teas, and wellness products, Angie teaches community classes and plans to expand her wellness workshops throughout the CSRA region. She is passionate about helping others reconnect with simplicity, stewardship, and healthy rhythms that support the body, mind, and spirit.
